IMG had the pleasure of working with the PBS Kids’ creative team to design educational content for their new 24/7 channel, “Word of the Week”. The project was developed to help children grow their vocabulary.
Developing distinct branding for the “Word of the Week” (WotW) series was our first challenge.
We needed to develop an open and close that was simple, yet fun, & didn’t distract from the important part of the animation – learning a new word.
The storyboards below illustrate a simple, energetic balance even though each varies in style. The final version picked, best represented the PBS Kids brand and would be used as the template for the entire “Word of the Week” series.

After the storyboard was settled upon, an animatic was created to finalize the timing and order. From there, our audio and editing teams added sound and design to complete each video.
