Inspiration Monday 8/29

Inspiration Monday is a collection of posts IMGers have found interesting. It may be cool artwork, or an article that makes you think, or a tool to help with work, or just a funny video to get your mind off of it for a while.  It’s just a weekly post of interesting pieces we’d like to share.

Today we have pictures of everything from meteorites to dirty dishes and some unbelievably realist paintings, but first…. Some music!

Last week we stumbled across Karl Bartos, of Kraftwerk, newest album. During Kraftwerk’s heyday Karl Bartos wrote – off the record – a secret acoustic diary. Based on his musical jottings – rhythms, riffs, hooks, sounds, chords and melodies – this is what he has come up with today.

Karen Woods makes super realistic paintings from photos of her daily commute.

Roberto Bernardi joins in on the hyper-real art, with these kitchen scenes that some of us are still trying to prove is a photo (inside of Gallery 1)

Tom Phillips takes microscopic photography of meteorites, the ones that actually hit earth.

We also stumbled across the website Ice Cream Hatter; built to show off the animation work of smaller shops and individual graphic designers. Lots of great just on here!

That’s it for today, have a great week!
